Welcome to Girton Sailing Club

Located in north Nottinghamshire on a 100 acre lake, we are a family sailing club. We have a reputation for friendly training programs and an active youth squad. Visitors and new members are always greated with a warm welcome.

RYA RIB Competition Regional Finals 31st May 2008 - Sunday, June 01, 2008

Edward Baldock (15) and Edward Harrison (11) both drove to success in the RYA Rib competition at Notts County against stiff competition. They go on to the National Final in Southampton this September.

40 competitors sailing 20 Miracles came to Girton on the weekend of 31st May and 1st June to compete for the Miracle Puddleduck trophy. The weather was warm and sunny on the Saturday, but the light winds played hide and seek and large wind shifts were a major feature of the day...

Phil Bailey wins the Pursuit race. - Sunday, May 25, 2008

Congratulations to Phil Bailey on winning the Pursuit race.

In a moving speech Phil presented the trophy to Edward Harrison 11, who fought against extremely strong winds in his Topper to take part and complete 2 of the 3 races, to recognize the shear determination to get round the course and stay upright!
